haha i know.
It's kinda VERY late to wish everyone a Happy CNY here.
but it's the sincerity that counts rite.
God knows how the lim-bu's SUPER busy-ness over the weeks.
Life as a final year Pharmacy student. hmnnn....full of lots of exams and datelines after datelines which have made me almost a dead fish now.
But phewwwwwwwww 2 essays summited a few hours ago.
Wonderbeautifully~! Gone was my frgin midnight trains for the time being. bye!bye!bye! hallelujah!
One more presentation and a final year research project to go which due another month, final year exam in May then there goes my busy student life, for ever~!
I havent sleep well for quite a few weeks d. Who knows how is it like to work throughhhhhhhhhhhhhh the night. Night till dusk. Yeah pityfullll me. i know i am. 2 mugs of super thick coffee sustained me till 10am today, from dunno N hourssss of work. Overdose caffeine overdose work made up an ugly limeelaine =(
but oh well, i enjoyed the lay back after each uptight tho. guess that's one thing great abt being a student. U have ur busy times but each busy time brings u a super free and easy time. Like i m going for a skiiiiiiiiiiiiiii trip tmr~! Yaaay~!! n that's the reason y i m still here blogging even tho i am tireder than tired now. My time was too inverted these days. i m forcing myself to stay awake so as i can sleep at the "normal" sleeping time tonight, for the sake that i can wake up at the "normal" wake up time tmr. i will be departing Glasgow at 6:30am Sharp ( my usual sleeping time!)

Alrite, enough of my ketidak-habis-habisan. my CNY away from Home and let alone, being surrounded by journals and datas and patient's medical histories and clinical evidencesss obviously not a happening one for me this year.

The morning our neighbour came to Bai Nian. Actually not really morning d. It was 2pm. But the pigs at home just woke up n were all in our house-coat. i was still lazying in my sarong. Cho-1 wearing sarong. huh, pathetic kan? =)If ya observant enough, u can even spot some niples there. ekekekeeee. i m not telling u whose

For the sake of CNY, well we did dress up a bit for the day n went out to makan tho. Tradition mah. we went for this chinese steamboat buffet opened by the Hong kiss. The food was ok but the environement sucks. Y couldnt these chinese have some brain a bit. CNY eh, put la CNY songs, i can recommed u the very famost and popular M-gals (ahem) or even Long Piao Piao i wouldnt mind, but...they put up depressing chinese songs like "xin tai luan", "ta yi ding hen ai ni"..... Hey CNY day eh! like those ang moh knows what they are singing even if they dont put CNY songs. GggrrRRRR!! Over all, we had our day la.
Was having bad-hair day so i needed my hat.
Respecting and greeting the old lady is nth but a tradition of CNY mah rite. =p
And oh yeah~!! G A L A C A S I N O ~!!!! so the place baby~!! chinese peeps are really the gambling ghosts reincarnation i think. Seeing the extend of how my SIAO CHA BOHs who miss home this year CNY dont really missing "home" at all. Especially the one in Sydney who repeatedly self proclaimed that she DESPERATELY misses cong deng again and again on each and every post n blog comments. haha!! And the one in Cardiff who beh liao beh liao kacau to cong online deng with her. blek. want to hit me, come ler come beat me plz . we r milesss away i m not scared ;p

Back to my casino. The chinese in Glasgow are only like, erm. i shall say, 10% or less of the whole population. But in the casino. fuyo~!! u can see chinese and mandarine and cantonese everywhere around u! tiong kok lang la, singapore teng lang la, hong kong teng lang la, malaysia teng lang la...teng lang and teng lang all over which made up about 80% of the customers. no kidding no kidding. Until the only place in Glasgow who has the knowledge abt our CNY and not to mention, actually celebrating CNY is nowhere else but casino. They had this seafood buffett dinner and it's FREE!! All for the CNY day. See, how big the chinese brought business for them. And for each entrance, we have got the piggie red deco with the word "chai-shen-dao" and a "jin-yuan-bao" biscuit with a paper of casino points inside. Funny rite, the ang moh actually know abt chinse stuff and they actually know abt our pig year. I wonder they did the same thing for Christmas day in casino or not. MMnnn i shall suggest building a China Town Arch infront of the casino one day, since there isnt any China Town in Glasgow, unlike what Tvgirl had in Sydney.
Our strategy for the night-"pang pua liap". We were hopping to confuse the banker to make him burst. Not the eyes btw, and not the testis either. But the cards. We played blackjack. But obliously, my pua-liap was pang wasted. But it was really fun. especially the 2nd banker was very Very VERY handsome~!! not the DavidBeckham-handsome-but-cool type but that kind of innocent and handsome AND cute. He kept seducing us notti faced while pulling out his cards. And that type of smile. yumm yumm~!!
Asking myself how do i feel for not being at home for CNY. Well, it did strikes me during the friday night b4 CNY when both my keeko n cici and Ah Hen and sis and Tan Yee and Shin Yee and co (our family friends) all happily packing and departing to the airport together and flying back home without me.

Thinking of how my family having reunion dinner but me having bread here was not an easy feeling tho.

But all in all, it was one of my life time experience that i do cherish. i now know how is it like in the mood of something "mei feng jia jie fei xi qing", the chinese proverb i cant really remember that says, during festive season you miss home MORE...it was frggin true btw. Well, for one year or two i frankly dont mind, but if i have to miss CNY for too many years, no thanks!! No matter how much the air ticket, i DEFINITELY will fly home..

One of my highlight during the day was, i felt warm that CNY day when i walk home alone, imagining the CNY in KB, from the Pharmacy. There's one shy chinese guy walking passed by me and greeted me Xin Nian Kuai Le but didnt stop by. i greeted him back to his back. he waved without looking back. well, weirdo he was but tat kind of feeling like, ' Oh u r not alone". =)

See what i have got for my "ang Pow" this year. Two red patches in my hand baked by the oven. I worked a week b4 CNY, as a kiosk attendent in a football stadium. We have to take the pie from the oven and serve. But fun tho, more than half of peeps in my kiosks got attacked too and we ended up having blue-plastered in the end when we were off duty. My wounds were quite bad, especially my hand was somemore swollen. But i dont feel yucky at all since everytime i see it, i remember 65pounds. My salary. so i sabar and in the end it has the shape of 65 to me....

Dont worry people. it dried up d. Scar? nah, i apply Vitamin E cream and Alloe Vera gel almost 5secondly so it is nicely heal now. yaay!
